Yesterday, while walking in the city,…

Yesterday, while walking in the city, I came across a pair of parents walking with what appeared to be a high school student. The combination of high school students in uniforms and parents in suits made me think that there must have been a graduation ceremony. Some looked as if they had decided on a university and were dreaming of a new life, others still looked a little anxious, and there was something I felt in every moment we passed each other.

This month of March may make each one of us feel various thoughts and feelings. Are we spending each day as we would like to? How are you using the 24 hours you have been given? If you spend your days without thinking about it, the years will fly by like an arrow without you gaining anything.

Only God knows how much time is left in our lives. Maybe even God doesn’t know. We don’t even know what will happen tomorrow in the world, and we don’t know what will happen to us. When we wake up in the morning and realise that we are thankful to be able to start the day, and that it is not something to be taken for granted, we realise that we have an important day in our lives, today and every moment of the present.

Sometimes time is the only thing that can heal a variety of feelings, or maybe it is the chance to encounter something new. I don’t know how much time we have to live with before we can say to ourselves when we were going through a difficult time that we did well, but maybe all we can do is to cherish every moment of the day. We can’t help that there are good days and bad days, that sometimes things go well and sometimes things don’t go our way. But in being born and being alive, everything is an experience, and if we can appreciate what we have and that moment of being here and now, we may find a moment of calmness.

When I see flowers that have endured the harsh cold and are about to blossom, I feel the strength of nature and also its fragility. And we are living in the midst of it now. And if we live, we are sure to meet new people. I hope that our days will be such that we can be grateful for these encounters.
