Lovely morning.Whenever I see a beautiful landscape in a film, be it foreign or Japanese, I am struck with great sadness. This is because it is impossible for me to see all these beautiful landscapes with my own eyes during my lifetime. At the same time, I am grateful for the film. They take me to places in an instant that I could never get to in my lifetime.
Yes.Films have always taken me to people, to their language, to cities, buildings, parks, religions, fashions, food, interiors, nature, skies, scents. Whenever I come across such a film,I am always moved to take my breath away, and I feel that it is because characters in the movies live in such a place that it is natural for them to express their emotions with such intensity, or that they are one of those people who keep their emotions to themselves. I think that the basic emotions that run through us as human beings do not change, for example, love for others, love for children, love for parents, frustration, sadness, anger, and so on, and that is why we can relate to and resonate with films from any country. However, I have the feeling that there are certain characteristics of people depending on where they live.
Once you untie the ribbon and open the box, you will find a beautiful world, a world that you have never seen before, emotions that you have never felt before, nostalgic feelings, longing, sadness, joy, surprise. What a wonderful thing it is to see a film that fills our hearts with a world we have never seen before, And when the end of the film rolls, with the names of the director, the characters and all the people involved in the making of the film, I feel that even though we think we live alone, even though we think we have done this alone, there are many people who have helped and supported us in ways that we do not know. The strangers you walk past on the street may actually be deeply involved in your life.
I haven’t been to the cinema since this pandemic began, and the film I saw yesterday was one that had been postponed three times. To see the beautiful scenery, the beautiful cars, the action, the professionalism, the love and the sadness on the big screen of a cinema, with such a powerful soundtrack, brought up a lot of feelings in me. What a wonderful thing it is that a film can make us feel things in two or three hours that we will never experience in our whole life.
