When we watch the Olympic Games…

Lovely morning,When we watch the Olympic Games, we are so impressed by the amazing performances and strength of each and every athlete. But how long have they been working hard every day to achieve that one moment of brilliance? It’s easy to focus on the big changes or performances, but it’s more important to focus on the small, continuous changes that are invisible to others and even to the individual.

When you think about learning English, people who get high scores on TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or pass the first level of the EIKEN don’t get those scores in an instant, they get them by accumulating them every day. If you understand the essence of the importance of the accumulation of small things when you wish to achieve your dreams and evolve your abilities, you will be able to continue to challenge yourself and build up your strength without being distracted by the big things that have happened and without stopping to make small changes.

Recognise and realise that small, continuous changes have much more energy than big, instantaneous changes. This can only be said if you do it every day. It is from these small changes that the plants are able to sprout, sometimes breaking through the asphalt with their tiny bodies, in places where we do not see them. If we try to break the wall all at once, we will end up hurting ourselves and we will not be able to break it down.

If you keep at it and don’t stop, you will be able to achieve everything. Maybe that’s how each and every Olympic athlete works day in, day out, building up that little bit of energy and releasing it at the moment when they have to do the most. Maybe talent is not only about the gifts we are born with, but also about the effort we put in every day to awaken our talents and make them blossom.
