Lovely morning. We sometimes care too much about how others see us, rather than how we see ourselves. Of course, in order to live in society, people must be reasonable human beings and must not disrespect other people’s lives.
However, sometimes people tend to care too much about how they look and how they are perceived in the world, and give up on what they really want to do. But the nature in which we live, the world in which we live, is constantly changing.
Even if the essence of the world has not changed, the form of the world is constantly changing. For example, looking back at the history of work, it is clear that it is highly unlikely that all the jobs we have today will still be around in 100 years’ time due to the development of cutting-edge science and technology.
The fact that our environment is changing means that we ourselves have to keep changing. Even the so-called traditional arts that we feel we have enjoyed since ancient times have, in fact, evolved little by little in accordance with the times, if we look closely at their history. And if we ourselves keep changing, it surely means that we are imagining what is essential for our future, for the future of our descendants, and for the society in which we live, and even for the natural world.
We need to hold on to that dream and vision of our own future, but also to enjoy the present and think about what we are doing now. The curiosity and focus we felt as children can actually be maintained into adulthood. Just by having something we are interested in, something we love, our hearts will be sustained by that feeling of love and our dreams, even when we are having a hard time. Our own genius is unlimited.
Let’s not mould ourselves, let’s not deny own potential, let’s look for what makes our hearts joyful. This is the only way to make our days shine more brightly.
