Lovely morning. There are wonderful words in the world, and wonderful books, and wonderful ways of doing things, but no matter how many wonderful words there are in the world, no human being can change or create anything unless they themselves become aware of it, unless they themselves make changes, unless they themselves are willing to change.
No amount of beautiful words, no amount of poignant words, no amount of persuasion can change anyone’s mind, unless the person who receives the words feels them in his heart and opens the door of his heart from within. No matter how much you try to persuade them or appeal to their emotions.
This is what I find when I teach English at work. I teach in a way that is easy to understand, which I have learned over the years, but not all students do it that way. Some students will try to absorb everything, some will try to take some of it in, and everyone will take it differently. So I try to find a way that works for them and give it to them.
I think this is one of the reasons why there are so many books on English in the world, but no one book is perfect. This is because the choice of book will depend on the individual and the stage of his or her ability. The most important thing is that the person is willing to make the book their own, and that they actually do it.
In the light of what we have said so far, it is probably best to assume that it is difficult to force someone to change their mind with our words. If our words resonate with the person, they will open the door to change. However, the more you try to force the door open, the more exhausted both you and the person listening to you will become. This is the case between parents and children, between husband and wife, between teacher and student, even between friends. Instead, it might be worth knowing that the words you say will make someone aware, and that awareness will motivate that person to change. It is also worth noting that each of us should have the ability to choose from the wonderful things that are right in front of us, and that we should have the breadth and richness of heart to be able to feel and rejoice.
