The wealth of a person’s knowledge is…

Lovely morning. The wealth of a person’s knowledge is irreplaceable and should be cherished. If a person knows a lot about something, whatever it is, it means that he or she has spent a lot of time and, in some cases, money on it. However, it is also true that this knowledge is sometimes neglected.

Intellectual property – inventions, devices, designs, copyrights – is protected to some extent by law. However, it is not only about these things, but also about the knowledge that we have learned over and over again, that we can explain and pass on to others, that we can help those who do not know anything about it, that we should value and respect.

Because it is not a tangible object like a jewel or a car, the knowledge of a person can be admired, of course, but it can also be disregarded by those who are not interested. But if a terrible disaster were to happen, or if the world were to be deprived of all its present conveniences, it would be someone else’s knowledge that would be needed.

In my job as an English teacher, I often meet people who are passionate about different things. And when I ask them questions about their interests, I’m often surprised by the amount of answers they give me. That person then becomes my teacher on that subject. Respecting and valuing the exceptional knowledge that each person has should also lead to a sense of self-affirmation, valuing the person who has the dream and is working towards the goal.
