It is scary for everyone to keep changing.

Lovely morning. It is scary for everyone to keep changing. It’s not surprising that once we have settled into a stable place, we want to stay there and feel safe. However, in TOEFL reading, the TOPIC of prehistory often comes up, and I always feel that humans have been changing for a long time.

At first humans migrated according to climatic changes, and according to the availability of food and drinking water, but when food was readily available all year round, and when it became possible to grow crops, people began to settle. But nature is always changing.

There were times when they thought they were settled, but droughts or floods forced them to move, or insects or disease destroyed the grain they thought they could harvest. But because our ancestors responded to these changes and took action, we humans have been able to survive to this day. If you think about it, if you keep changing with the situation, with your ability, and with your power as you improve, then in other words, you are evolving. Even if you only have five minutes to study English words today, those five minutes every day will change your English.

Give yourself a pat on the back for doing five minutes of English. Even if you have a good study plan in place, there will be times when your plan doesn’t work out because of the work you have to do or the family commitments you have to make. And some people quit altogether because their plans don’t work out. But I feel that we can all change if we have the ability to adapt our plans to suit our circumstances. And don’t forget to give yourself a lot of credit for doing what you set out to do, even if it’s just a little bit.

I think it’s important to recognise and praise yourself even when you are an adult. Don’t try to make big changes all at once, but enjoy every day so that you can see how much you have changed through the accumulation of small things.
