Lovely morning.Have you ever reread one of your favourite books? Books are wonderful things that can excite us, move us, make us sad, warm our hearts, surprise us or scare us with just words. Nowadays, we see that more and more children don’t read books or even comics anymore, so I would like them to discover the joy of reading books. We want them to enjoy reading books, because in books there is a whole new world. Reading a book can take you to any place in your mind, even if you never travel.
In the world of books, you can be anything you want to be, see anything you want to see and go anywhere you want to go. This is because our minds are filled with the power to imagine what we read in books. And by reading books we can also become aware of the unspoken feelings that lie between words. This can naturally help us to be more considerate of other people’s hearts and feelings when we interact with them.
When I was a little girl, my Christmas present was actually a book every year. It was a series of books called Anne of Green Gables by Montgomery, a famous Canadian author. Every year after Christmas I would read Anne of Green Gables and I would learn about her beautiful use of language, the joy of imagination, the beauty of the Canadian landscape, the environment in which we were born, the kindness of the human heart and the dark side of the human heart.
In the Anne of Green Gables series, Anne starts out as a little girl, but she grows up, goes to a higher school, continues her studies, becomes a teacher, falls in love, gets married and goes through many other things. I used to read the series every year during the winter holidays, and I used to wonder what it was like to love someone, what it was like to be loved and asked to marry someone. I also wonder what it is like to love someone, to be loved by someone and to be asked to marry someone, and I feel that I enjoy reading these books every year because my impressions of them are different depending on my age when I read them.
It’s a good idea to start reading books that you’ve read before, not only because they’ve moved you, but also because you might be able to read a book now that you couldn’t finish when you first read it. Maybe you’ll find something new in it, maybe you’ll get a great feeling out of it, maybe you’ll learn something. Whenever Christmas Eve comes, I always feel how wonderful it is to read a book and I am deeply grateful to my parents. Today is Christmas Eve. How will you spend your Christmas Eve? I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve with your loved ones and those who are close to you.
